Day 9 and still smoke free!!!

Back from looking after the grandchildren and managed to keep them under control without a fag! :D

I haven't noticed much difference in the way I feel yet...I think I'm sleeping heavier and don't leap at of bed as soon as my eyes are open like I used to (to have me first fag).

I have been able to identify smokers when I pass them in the street :o god did I really smell like that for years? how has hubby put up with that for all these years? I'm going to knight him when he gets back :D

Another strange thing is that I haven't replaced the fags with food or anything else...wonder if that's the champix?

Anyway, all is good in JJ's world at the moment (I'll pay for saying that, I know I will!)

Well done you, 9 days so done a week and on your way to 2 weeks.

Some of the changes I think are quite subtle, I always walked the dog but after about 2 weeks I noticed I was walking a bit quicker and not as out of breath.

Glad to hear you are not finding any major problems, keep it up.

Do you have any treats planned?

Hehe.. posting in the wrong room is also good :), shows just how time has marched on. Well done on day 9... take each day as a major success, and be proud of what you are doing.

Treats?

Well, hubby is working in the states at the moment but he suggested I deserve something so I'm getting together a list of some Estee Lauder skincare products which are about half the price over there.

Someone told me recently I don't have 'smokers skin' so perhaps slapping on all the creams has done some good over the years! I've wanted a bit of a face lift for a few years now...nothing too drastic, just to look like I've had a good holiday, but all the time I smoked I didn't think it was worth it plus the anaesthetic scared me. So hopefully this time next year I can go ahead and hope I don't look like this! lol

Skincare things sound good, to go with your new non smokers skin, glowing I bet.

Can't even imagine having surgery, but I am too much of a wimp, and married to a surgeon

Something for you to look forward to and maybe you could put the money you are saving away and then when you have the surgery you can pay for it with that.
