Morning all

Day 9 of Champix and Day 2 of my official quit! I must admit I'm tired today and a little tetchy, more so than day 1. However I went for a facial this morning and that de-stressed me slightly but I think it may be a long day.

I would like to ask others (honestly) when did you think it started to get better after quitting (ie day 3, day 12, day 103!!).

My only annoyance today when someone said to me, well if you don't manage to quit this time you will do it next time, WHAT!! I am only going through this the once, I quit yesterday and I WILL NOT smoke again. I know this, I just want to get through it and for people to stop assuming I will fail!!!!

Sorry, hope you are having a good day

Christine xx

Hi Christine

Well done on day 2...

We are all different, and take no notice of what anyone else says. You sound really commited to stopping so stay strong and focussed and you will be fine.

Good luck...xx

Thank you, you lovely people. Well can't say my mood has improved but once again I've made it through the day without murdering someone which must give me bonus points. I will admit to having my head so far up my backside I can see my ovaries, but hey-ho!!:o

I've been spinning today and even though I've been an exercise fanatic for 20 years I did find my chest clearer tonight so that's a plus.

Right another lollipop I think. See you all on day 3:D

I smoked for 33 years. It was day 15 before things started getting better. But Hey, you can not erase 33 years in 48 hours.

Honest answer from me is 5 1/2 months was when it suddenly started to turn around for the better in my case. Having said that I've ticked off 21 months now and can honestly say that it DID get better, but with the occasional high crave days. Those high craves days stopped around 1 year. It was my determination that got me through the difficult early days....that and the excellent folk one meets.

Woohoo, day 3 and a great milestone. Have a fantabulous day :D
