Hello! I smoked my last cigarette at exactly 3.43pm on Saturday, so technically, I'm just about on day 5!
The first couple of days seemed really easy, but now my cravings just seem to be getting worse! How long does it take before they go away? I nearly gave in a minute ago but I think I've more or less got a grip again now (After several puffs on the inhalator, two ibuprofen, and a couple of squirts of Rescue Remedy!)
Any advice or support gratefully received! Xx

On previous attempts I've found the first 3 weeks the hardest, after that it does get easier (but then you must remind yourself why you gave up in the first place because it is very easy to think you can be a social smoker and that just doesn't work!) Stay strong, you dont want to undo all the good work you've done so far
I am on week 4 day 2- i think(!) anyway Keep up the effort-sounds like you're doing well, -wish I thought of using Rescue Remedy when i first stated out!!! I found the 1st 2 weeks probably the worse but hey just read all the posts on here and Im sure u'll get some great practical advice on surviving those first few days!!!
That's where I've always gone wrong before - thinking I can be a social smoker! I know I just need to stop completely. It's helping me a great deal that I have a new group of friends who DON'T smoke, and the ones who do are being very considerate and not smoking too close to me!
Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm now more than half way through day 5, and I actually feel quite healthy for once!
I've only had a 1mg lozenge so far today too
Not sure if it's an embarrassing side effect of the inhalator, or my body's strange way of expelling some of the bad stuff, but I've had terrible wind the last couple of days.....(*blush*) so I'm trying to do without the inhalator just in case that's the culprit!
So close to the end of the first week. It gets easier. And, if you think about it, after this week, you have only 51 more, and all of a sudden you have reached the year point. Keep taking it one day at a time, rewarding yourself, and congratulationg yourself fully.
