In so pain with my wisdom teeth but scared to go to dentist :(

Has anyone had wisdom teeth out??

I am in agony worse pain ever

Problem is I have anxiety especially with anyone working in my mouth so scared of dentist and the suction for Sylvia that I really do not wanna go to dentist

Any suggestions asap on how I can get rid of pain please??

What is suction for Sylvia? Ibuprofen is better then paracetamol for teeth pain. Hope it's not too awful for you. I was scared of the dentist for years. X

go to dentist and just tell yourself in an hour it'll all be over- eventually you will have to go as tooth pain is v v bad- hope you get on ok- it may just be an infection needing antibiotics. xx

Hi Annie, Sorry to hear you are in so much pain. It is so much better to go sooner rather than later as it may be able to be treated with antibiotics as others have said.

My dentist is very understanding of patients with dental phobias and offers sedation for very anxious patients to help them through the treatment. Might be worth asking your dentist if that's available and OK for you if you are on other meds. Take care and hope you get it sorted soon. Sue xx

I used to work for dentists and they offered sedation for anxious patients. See if you can find one in your area that will do this for you. And my daughter's wisdom teeth just popped out, no problems. Hope yours do the same. Good luck and all the best. xx

oh yes-well done jeffu- they can give you some gel which stops the injection hurting.

Hey everyone went to the dentist need 3teeth out and 1wisdom tooth they have referred me to a private clinic for sedation and gas an air to calm me down

Go tommorow at 12.15pm. So scared and feel like I'm gonna die but would do anything to get out of this pain

Well done hun,

I'm proud of you for going. I'm terrified of them too and broke two teeth off at the gum line a few weeks ago so had no choice but to go to gets the roots out. I knew it wasn't going to be pleasant but you're getting sedated so you'll be fine but your jaw will probably ache like hell afterwards so make sure you have some painkillers in stock and don't drive afterwards...at least for a while anyway.

I had my teeth out in hosipital like you,,, I hate having anyone pulling anything out. But honestly why not have a chat to the gp, and ask for something for your nerves, before you go, and have someone to bite on, lol when you dont like it. Or ask is it possible to have them out in hospital. ??? you willbe asleep. !! but surely the pain will be enough that you will want anyone to pull them out, in the end.

take care your not the only person who hates the dentist, and you wont be the last !!!

Hey everyone i went to dentist today and got the teeth out, they sedated me and were so lovly I can't remember a thing the pain after was bearable and I'm on strong painkillers so feel abit floaty now. Iv to go back and 1 more wisdom tooth out as an xray showed my left wisdom tooth is rotting and will soon cause me same problems but I'm not scared anymore..

Bit of advise to anyone scared of dentist just go it's alot easier than you think and so much better than being in pain :))
