So just a few days ago i had a dentist appointment for a regular cleaning and check up. Everything was good until they came back from looking at my x-rays. The dentist told me i had 2 broken and infected teeth on my bottom left side, my wisdom tooth and my moler. He asked me if i wanted them removed, now i thought i had to go to a specific oral surgeon but i needed them out so i said sure. Do what you need to do. Its been 2 full days since that procedure. Im very worried about this infection going septic and my anxiety for sure is not helping. Often, yet random, my heartrate spikes to around 120 - 150 bpm. Rarely higher but it has. Mind you, about 2 weeks ago i was hanging out with friends and my body randomly flushed into numbness and my heart just, stopped. Obviously it started up again, but thats when sepsis got stuck in my mind. The doctor prescribed pain meds, and amoxicillin. Ive been following the steps to keep my recently removed teeth (the gums) clean, and ive been taking my meds as the dosage requires. Today, i woke up sweating and with a heartrate of about 125 bpm, high body tempature and very gross smelling sweat but it dropped about 5 minutes later. During the 2 full days ive had this migrain that will not go away, and on top of that, my whole kneck and throat area and head feel very swollen. Im going to go to the hospital today, just in case. Should i be worried or is it just my body fighting the infection? Mind you, im sure my anxiety did this, or its just a head cold, but the day prior to my visit to the dentist, i got sick.

Yes you probably have an infection, the antibiotics should help. Yes you do need to see a doctor so they can assess you. Your high heart rates could be part of your anxiety but a doctor can reassure you.

Antibiotics should help, however if you are brushing the gum area where you had the extraction done you may cause problems when you remove any scabs where the teeth had been. Try washing your mouth out with a salt wash, this hardens the gums after extraction and this in turn will help you heal
Sometimes after extraction you can get a sore throat, dependant on how the extraction was performed. Also sometimes after extraction dryness of the throat can make it sore especially if they used a gag or block to keep the mouth open during extraction
Sometimes if gas was used either for extraction to sleep or sedate, this can also cause a dry throat.
Injections to block pain especially if the tooth is a wisdom tooth the root is very large and difficult to remove, if you have had a wisdom and the one next to that the damage to gum and socket and jaw is going to take time, the wisdom tooth is the last tooth on the jaw so your jaw will be sore, this may cause a headache. I had my Wisdom teeth out many years ago they used gas, now at the Dental hospital because of the problem of removal they now use sedation, the type will be decided by the dentist. Take Your Antibiotics and try and leave the damaged area of gum and socket alone.

I have been leaving the gum line alone by the extraction site. Honestly i feel as if they did it wrong. they numbed the aea eh at 4 to 5 shots, then just ripped them out
Did the sockets bleed ? Also did they put an AB Plugs into the hole after extraction
BOB
Yes they were bleeding. Theyre not anymore and actually closing up. No they didn't though. They literally took 30 minutes to actually start then got it done in like 5 minutes by just ripping them out basically, threw some gause on it after rincing a tiny bit and wrote me my prescription and sent me on my way.
They used to have AB Plugs they placed in the socket, although these days all has changed. The idea is let the area bleed and that cleans and forms a scab plug from the socket. They will seal as said. Your gums and jaw have gone through a severe trauma and as said the Wisdom tooth is very close to the Jaw joint. That may be causing your headache. If the gums are getting better I would still suggest salt mouth wash, it will clean the area and prepare the gum for brushing.
