Unhealed Depression

Hi, I've had this my whole life. Used to be on and off, but now that I'm older, it's always there. Meds don't help. I'm here to help similar people, as reading peoples stories makes us feel not so alone.

I am the same. The trouble is the older I get the more I don't want to be around,

I hear you. I'm like that much of the time. Getting older has no value, in my opinion, I have some decent moments, but it's not like when we were young. I just don't want to hurt anybody.

Chemical in balance is only one of many causes of depression. At least 20% find no benefits in medication, no. Matter what mixes, what doses or what length of time.At the moment I use probiotics and epa( omega 3 fish oils) plus vegus nerve stimulation. Very helpful.

However there are 6 or 7 different causes to depression, a common one being childhood traumas and negative conditioning which many find regular long term counselling and psychotherapy really hits the mark.

Really, I didn't know it was 20%. I'd believe it if it was even more; no one I know benefits from these drugs. How do you do vegus nerve stimulation? Glad you found something that works.
