Feeling really on edge... Like I’m about to snap at someone any moment... I’ve already lost it with my mum tonight, no use talking to her about this so I thought I’d just come here to have a bit of a vent. Just one of those days of being completely angry at nothing...🤬

I hear you and also understand .. I find that retreating home alone during these times is important .. I suggest you do some self help techniques like watching a film, playing music, meditate, exercise, engaging in your hobbies and also restful sleep is indeed important to replenish your energy

I had this day yesterday, me and my mom got into a big argument over something so stupid and it made me very angry, I went off and said i hated her which i regret!!! because i was so angry that i said that. Im sure tomorrow you guys will get along or maybe even the next day I'm sure it will all work out.

Sometimes it is hard to know what has made us feel on edge or snap at the people we love.

I found keeping a journal of what I have done that day. Quick notes on the ups and downs, always finishing my entry with at least 3 positive things from the day helped me to see what caused these feelings and also what worked when I felt that way. Deep breathing exercises work and counting to 10 can help as well.

There are a lot of techniques out there, but you have to do them on a daily basis so that get become automatic when you need to use them. You have to practise them.when you are calm.and in a good place so that you learn them correctly.

If you can, apologise to your Mum and if you are able to maybe talking to her about why you feel edgy could help you as well.

Take care and keep practising any techniques you use.
