Am fairly new here, had another bad day. Was full of plans, tidying up, actually doing stuff, instead laid on couch and read!!! Sick of feeling like this, need some motivation!!!

Motivation - How do I get it
one of the cruelest tricks of depression is that it can actually switch the relationship between motivation and doing things - normally you are motivated so you do. In depression quite often you have to start doing something then the motivation will come.
Sorry, know that isn't an easy thing to do but really you need to just start doing things. Routines can help. or if you have a list just pick one thing on it and do it - then pick another and do that - its mechanical but it may actually be the only way you will get started and it may get easier once you have started.
I know this feeling so well I really struggle with motivation too, I find if I force myself to do at least one thing on the list and not think about everything that needs doing which can be overwhelming I do feel better it can help if you promise yourself a little reward once it's done too
