New medication worries

Hi all.

So my tablets were upped to 40mg citalipram and quickly my depression became severe worse than ever ive know been given MITAZIPINE and am really worried ive got to wean my self off the citalopram while taking 15mg of mitazipine then 30mg of mitazipine has any one been on this and can give me some in sight xxxx

I was on them years ago and all I did was eat and sleep and put weight on. I'm now back on my citalopram. I can't remember dosage but it was high.

Yes I came off cipramil and onto mirtazapine the way you describe. I didn't have any problems in swopping over. Mirtazapine will help you sleep. I haven't experienced any weight gain or other side effects.

Mirtazepine is a good drug but gives drowsiness in the lower doses up to 30mg and also often weight gain.

I know about mirtazipine. They made me ravenous with hunger. I put so much weight on ( I've always been very slim so was ok with that side of it for a while)

then it got so bad people began to ask if I was pregnant!!! I can't conceive so that was quite hard to deal with. Then came the vivid nightmares. It felt like I was reliving a traumatic event in my life night after night... Yes they are great for helping you sleep.. maybe you will be fine .This is my experience. Must also say that every time I try to stop Has been awful! Sorry about the negative reply .Just my experience.

Thankyou all be strugling with my weight for a while so i hope i dont put more on 🙁 took my 1st last night and it wiped me out xx
