Talk to your dentist and discuss the possibility of a Sedation Session.

You will be given an appointment in a Dental Hospital and you will not remember the operation afterwards

How old are you

In my youth I was badly treated in a Dentist, that affected me and when I reached in my twenties my dentist could not control my fears and He referred me to Dental Hospital for Sedation. Now I am sixtyfive and still referred by my dentist, she will do my reviews although not my treatment.

The waiting list can be long so you could get toothache before the appointment

I am now awaiting treatment for three fillings at the hospital. All the treatment is, just an injection in the back of your hand.

if you are at all squeamish you really shouldn't have watched the videos. That was guaranteed from the start to upset you. Despite your levels of concern you are still going to have to go back to your dentist and get it sorted out, Hidden offers good advice on this.

In the meantime you could try to reduce the pain with cloves. The old fashioned remedy is to chew on them with your problem tooth but, depending on how bad the tooth is, you might find oil of cloves less painful.

You could also try propolis. Propolis is produced by bees from tree resins and is used to keep hives and bee communities clean and clear of infection. As well as stopping plain old ordinary toothache with it, I have even used it to cure a tooth abscess rather than have the tooth extracted. Use a cotton bud to apply it to the affected area.

Depending on how bad your tooth is and the reasons you require the extraction you might also be able to resolve the issue by using a miswak. Coming from the 'toothbrush tree' miswaks have the capacity to rebuild damaged enamel as well as reduce infection if used correctly. miswaksticks.com/

Ahh so it is an impacted wisdom tooth then. Well there is a chance that both the propolis and oil of cloves could help and you should be able to get either from any good chemist/health shop tomorrow. Amazon, which is open now, could supply them but couldn't deliver any sooner. The miswak, that you could also get on Amazon, wouldn't help.

In the meantime you could try a hot water bottle wrapped in a tea towel. (or any type of empty bottle you have access to if you don't have a hwb, just take care that the water isn't so hot as to damage it.) Alternating hot and cold might also help.

You could also try making a paste from turmeric powder. Spread some on a piece of cotton wool, lint or tissue and press it on to the painful area. If you don't have any turmeric in, it should be easily available if you have a local all night supermarket.

There are other remedies you could try like naturalsociety.com/home-rem...

Many people these days do not have wisdom teeth, they where needed far back in the past to crush nuts and hard types of natural food.

They can cause problems and generally the dentist will remove them as they can cause pain and problems when you get older. Because of the way they are attached to the jaw they can prove problems when they are extracted.

Talk to your GP and suggest Sedation

Good Luck, always around

Awe thank you xxx

I know it sounds scary, but it is better to get them out. I only had my 2 top ones growing and they were cutting into my bottom gum causing an infection. So I had to get them taken out. There was about 2 years between getting both removed, though.

Talk to your dentist there are all sorts of things they can do today to help you out if you are scared about getting it done.

Hope you get it done soon.

Take care.

I was referred so I'm assuming it doesn't matter which County you're in the procedure would be the same. I'm having my consultation to discuss the dental treatment but to be honest I just want them to pull it out! 😁 So at this appointment tell them how worried you are and maybe admit that you watched some YouTube videos, I'm sure you will be fine. It took about 3-4 months for me to get the consultation, I'm not sure how long it will be for you to get your consultation but good luck! 🍀

I'm having my consultation on 19th June to have my wisdom tooth out, I can't wait because I can't eat properly and it's also pushing my other teeth out as its growing side ways into my teeth. Probably wasn't the best idea to watch the YouTube videos but hey you live and learn! Tell them how worried you are and they will talk through your options! Hope all goes well for you! Xx
