Hello Mary,

Could be stress with you, or do you feel it is something else, if so pet see the GP.

If it is very painful and you think it is something to worry about call the NHS Helpline on 111.

Good Luck

BOB

Chances are it will get better by morning , if not and you don't feel up to your lesson perhaps you could call an hr before and explain to your instructor. I suspect it will subside. Sometimes anxiety can cause those sort of pains. Not nice :( do whatever you can to relax, if you live with your parents perhaps mention it to them. Sometimes the more we worry the worse the pain can get. I'm not a dr of course so if you do feel worried 111 can offer advice. Hope it goes soon. X

I'm sure you'll be fine by the morning, Mary. Have a glass of water, a lie on the settee and watch some TV. It'll pass x

If you think you may have injured it then go to the doctors. If you have been coughing for any reason that can cause rib injuries too. If the pain is severe then I would get it checked out by a doctor. Could be stress too though. I had a bad chest pain while driving once on a lesson but I couldn't pull in so I said nothing. I probably should have told my instructor but I wanted to get through my test before university. Luckily, the pain went away - I stayed calm and I passed first time. :D

Could be pleuritic pain especially when you inhale. There is always a risk of blood clot in the lung or pleurisy if you have had flu.It should be checked out if pain persists & cause breathlessness.
