Hey guys, first time writing a comment on a forum like this. I am 40 years old and just had a close ended vasectomy 15 days ago, the procedure went fine and I had the usual post op pain that is almost all gone.
My problem and fear is on my sexual response: it is really difficult to get a erection, erection all not has hard, and when I am feeling pleasure it is a lot less enjoyable, it feels like the part where there is a building up sensation (maybe when your sperm goes from testies to prostate) is COMPLETELY gone... so the whole experience is i would say only 50% as enjoyable as before.
ANYONE HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE ?
EXPLANATION ?
Thx guys

Wow great diary, and very conforting, i need to wait more and maybe give it more rest, i have been quite active sexualy trying to get it back ‘online’ lol. Thx for sharing Middleagedbloke
Thx for your replie, how long ago did you get it done ? And how is you sexual responce compare to before ? I dont think i will have pain issue, dont really feel pain anymore (hope it will stay like this in the future), i am really concerne about the sexual responce not been the same (less erections and less intense orgasms).
Vasectomy has an effect only upon the injection of sperm into the semen. What is felt during the buildup before ejaculation comes from the seminal vesicles and the prostate. Your reaction to the operation is most likely psychological or sympathetic. Be patient and it should resolve.
Agreed. But there is also the movement in the vas deferent that bring’s up the sperm to the prostate that gives the sensation a a straw being filled (for sure you cant feel the sperm, you actualy feel the vas ‘contracting’ or moving up the sperm), it is different from the feeling of seminal vesicle that spills in the vas deferent (that feeling is like it’s overflowing and bring to ‘the point of no return’ when you know you will ejaculate for sure). Anyway that the way i can describe how I feel !
Sperm are microscopic and impossible to feel. Your issue can’t possibly be anything permanent to do with vasectomy. Erections vary with arousal and blood supply and ejaculation is largely Prostate related. Give it time- although a very minor procedure, vasectomy is an assault on a very tender area. Had mine done 35 years ago and once I’d fully recovered (2 weeks as I recall) everything felt the same.
Now that it has been almost a year since your post, what is the current situation? Do you still feel like orgasms are less enjoyable than they were before your vasectomy? Or do feel like they have gone back to normal now?
