I have had type 2 diabetes since 2005. Controlled with medication, metformin, sitagliptin. In 2024?I was diagnosed with grade 4 kidney cancer and have now had one kidney removed. I am now cancer free. But I have had to stop taking metformin because it is not good for my remaining kidney. Now as I am only taking sitagliptin to control my type2 diabetes, I am struggling to control my blood sugars, in conjunction with my diet.

you may wish to get your doctor to prescribe Tirzepatide. It will assist with blood glucose control, weight loss and helps your liver.
I take a rubesus 14mg before each meal and I also take novamix insulin twice daily and 1 metformin 3 times a day, go back to your GP and get something that# ok with your remaining kidney. Was it your GP who stopped the metformin for the kidney or the urologist?
