I had a pacemaker fitted just over a year ago and as a result when it came to renewing my car insurance I found that it was more that double the previous years premium. The DVLA are aware of this condition and have not placed any restrictions on my driving. My car insurance is due for renewal in the next month and I was wondering if anyone knew of any "pacemaker friendly" insurers?

Are you sure your insurance is more expensive solely because of your pacemaker? If DVLA are not concerned about your pacemaker then your insurance company should not be.
