Circumcision day 16: Penis (near frenulum) still swollen

Hello people,

Writing on this forum for the first time. I had undergone circumcision 15 days back, due to the issue of tight foreskin. Most of my stitches have dissolved except a couple of them. But the thing I am most worried about is the swelling in the underside of the penis (near frenulum) which hasn't come down much since the surgery. Also, there is a small wound in the underside which occasionally releases little pus. Though there is no pain as such, should I be worried about the swelling and wound ?

Thanks in advance

Although I'm on the same day as you and don't have this issue, I would recommend giving it a bit more time if it's not giving you pain or severe discomfort! If it's like it long term after 4-5 weeks and it's not showing signs of dying down then consult your local gp

Hi,

The swelling looks okay; it can take a few months to return back to normal. I'm in a similar situation although it has been three months since my operation but I had an infection so it is going to take longer.

In terms of the pus, unless it smells really bad it won't be pus but leaking lymph fluid which causes the swelling; some will leak out and the rest should be re-absorbed.

Thank you for your comment. Seems like its lymph fluid and not the pus. Also, it has really subdued in the last couple of days

Looks fine to meate you'll see a big improvement over the next 1-2 weeks for the swelling , pussy is normal and will probably go by week 3 but looks normal so no need to worry

See your GP. Could be an infection. Good op though. Better safe than sorry

It's looking great for being 15 days after circumcision. The swelling looks to be lymphatic fluid. That's normal. If you wanna speed up the healing process, try to wear your penis upwards in (tight) underwear.
