I’m really hoping someone can help me out here. I’ve suffered with very tight foreskin for a few years now and it hasn’t got any better. I took the option of joining Bupa at work and managed to see a private consultant back in June. He advised I had phimosis and a little amount of scares on my foreskin.
Note - I cannot pull it back at all. It doesn’t cause me pain, but during sex I find it difficult to ejaculate because I don’t feel much at all.
I’ve seen the same consultant again this evening and he has advised my only option is circumcision, which is something I’d narrowly want to avoid due to all the negative comments I see from guys who have been circumcised.
My main concern is sensitivity - I don’t want to lose it. I’m 20 and sex life for me is increasing but not very enjoyable, lol.
Without sounding big headed, money factor isn’t a worry for me. I’m happy to go private but I am praying there is an alternative to circumcision. Is there any options for plastic surgery? Are there any consultants anyone would recommend?
I’d appreciate any kind of support here.

Circumcision is not necessary. Go to willywellbeing.com for expert guidance on simple remedies which don’t involve surgery.
Frankly there is not much option to avoid circumcision. You can only try to bear with it, be slow in thrust during intercourse. Feeling will not be affected by circumcision. Anyway you need to keep your glans clean during bathing. At best you can try to apply steroid cream and masturbate to try if it opens
This advice is wrong, very wrong, most guys easily avoid circumcision, it is rarely used to treat phimosis. Listen to everyone else and you will learn how to resolve the problem.
You should start with gentle stretching of the foreskin, it does take time so is no quick fix. Steroid creams may also help with the stretching, but leave that til later.
For me sex is not as good as before but others will disagree. We are all different and only you can decide.
Hi, you have obviously been listening to the anti-circumcision sect. Most of them have been circumcised as a baby and can't compare. But guys like myself who got cut as a (young) adult know that what these anti-circumcision followers say simply isn't true. I can assure you that everything is better once you are circumcised. My foreskin was too tight too but I decided a few years ago at 17 to have it done. It's one of the best decisions I ever made. I'm so glad I did it. Please for your own good don't listen to them.
He had phimosis (as he said) so he can’t compare it either, a lot of the time, phimosis can hinder sexual pleasure as much as or more than circumcision, but phimosis can be cured a circumcision can not! don’t listen to him, please keep your American obsession with getting everyone circumcised away 😂
You are one of the followers of the anti-circumcision sect. Your opinion is totally biased. I know it's better after being circumcised. It's so untrue that phimosis can be cured. In some cases and with children maybe, but very seldom with adults. I've been also one of the many who tried the so called foreskin sparing methods with no results. It's so obvious that it doesn't work for most guys but the anti-circumcision followers keep promoting it as "the" solution. If it works for someone, fine but if it doesn't please get yourself circumcised.
Thats complete bullshit 😂 what are they telling you guys in America! In the uk phimosis is very, very rarely used as a treatment for phimosis! It’s easily cured by stretching and other methods... and in no way shape or form is it better being circumcised. I do feel sorry for you, but I am not a member of the anti circumcision thing, I am just protecting people from people like you!
My comments are not meant for you. You've never suffered from phimosis, you still have a foreskin but even so you know it's bad to be circumcised! What are you doing here anyways?
I just said what I am doing here, I’m helping, and protecting him from you. And I know guys who were circumcised as adults and they hate it, and if you just research it, most people hate it.

The men I know who got circumcised as adults are glad now. The only guys who hate it now are the poor ones who've been brainwashed by people like you and other anti-circumcision members.
Funny that, everyone I've met who has been circumcised as an adult is so utterly delighted finally to be rid of their foreskin and the phimosis or balanitis that had been disabling them for years.
Im on about circumcision when it’s not for phimosis... I didn’t specify. When someone has phimosis, that usually hinders sexual pleasure more than circumcision.
You could consult the charity 15 Square 15square.org.uk This is a UK medical charity that promotes alternatives to circumcision and helps men who have been damaged either physically or psychologically through circumcision. There are a number of alternatives to circumcision and if surgery is necessary there are simpler surgical alternatives that preserves the foreskin. You can consult their doctors online
I met a guy recently who showed me his circumcized piece and it looks UNcut. But he's from Central America (I don't remember which country) and he said like hair styles there are different styles or types of circumcision.
He looks not circumcised. And it sounds like the reason they have that practice there is because it is known that men can have the problem you seem to be experiencing.
So check into it. You may be able to be circumcized in such a manner that you'll still have some skin and be comfortable with it.
