Considering circumcision

Hi there

im just wondering if anyone has had any issues after adult circumcision?

im 39 and thinking if getting circumcised as I’m having slight soreness of my glans, if I keep my foreskin back it goes away, spoke to my gp and told me this no issue to keep foreskin pulled back, only issue I’ve got is having to pull it back all the time, is only started happening 8 months ago and I’ve been married for 10 years now, my wife doesn’t care if I get circumcised, I’m just thinking is this a start of a problem that might get worse??

Gp suggested losing weight first before thinking about circumcision as I’m 105kg, but did say if issues don’t go after weight loss he will recommend circumcision

ive never had foreskin problems in the past but my glans fell better when I keep foreskin back!!

If I do go for a circumcision, what the best style to go for?

Any help or advice would be appreciated

The best advice would be find out as much as possible about your condition, maybe consult another Dr. For me I wished I had done more searching and asked more questions. My Op' went fine and all is good now but I still miss my foreskin.

If you really need the Op' then go for it you will be fine but once it gone it is gone.

Thanks for advice

May I ask why you had it done? Also what method and style?

Only reason I’m thinking of being done is that I feel really good since I’ve been keeping foreskin retracted, no more smells or pains on my glans!!

I get turned on easier by my wife, we been having more sex since too!

I was circumcised a few years ago as a young adult at 17yo because of too tight foreskin. I am very glad I did it. I also like the feeling of having always a bare glans. I am circumcised high and tight like most males here in the USA.

Hi there. I was in the very same position . I had my circumcision in 2014 and regret not doing it sooner.

Met my wife shortly after and she loves the way it looks feels for her. It's a win win so my advice is don't wait .

I was circumcised about a year ago for various reasons and I personally prefer it. I recently went back for a second operation as there was some excess skin. I was circumcised high and tight which I like however I think I would have preferred low and tight if I had the choice again as I feel it looks better flaccid.

Thanks for reply, 2 friends of mine have been recently circumcised due to tight foreskins and both are very happy with outcome, one was low and tight the other high and tight!!

Please DO NOT as it will effect your sexual life and also not to miss the 1 week walking like a cowboy and 3 weeks of super sensitivity and soreness when it rubs against your boxers

Also after keratinization your glans will become sore every time you wash it and for any sexual activity you will require a lot of lube and will regret it then

Well I’ve had my glans exposed now for 3 months and never felt better, I suppose everyone reacts different to circumcision!! I will pull my foreskin back one I loss more weight as doctor requested and then decide from there!!

Wait for around 3-5 years and you will realise what loss have you occurred. I hope anyone never has to go through this.

Well, this is just BS from the anti-circumcision sect!

I was circumcised at age 33. I would definitely recommend it. Just make sure it is tight.

Thanks for advice, after speaking to some men about it I think I’ll keep my foreskin retracted for now as it’s a big life changing decision, I don’t think going tight will be a good idea for me as I change size from flaccid to erect(grower), I didn’t want to get circumcised as a social thing so a loose circ I’ll be going for if I was, just enough for my knob to hang out when flaccid, I’ve never had issues with being tight to pull back.. but loving the retraction as no more foreskin smell and longer sex.

I don’t know about everyone else’s experience and all I can speak of is my own. I had the same mind set and at age 48 decided to just do it without much thought. It’s been 3 months now and I already regret it. I regret it because I am numb and don’t feel anything during sex, penis now goes limp and the sensitivity is gone. I wish I’m wrong and it goes away but so far I regret.
