I got my circumcision on May 18 and after like 3 weeks my stitches were still there. I went back to doctor that performed the surgery since on here people had said go back because stitches may need to be removed. However, after speaking to him he said no leave them be and they will fall out automatically. I asked asked how long the swelling will take since seems larger on left side compared to right. He said again leave it be will be fine in a month or so.
So it has been quite some time now and as you can see from pictures, on the right it seems perfectly fine and is a smooth surface. However on the left, there seems to be excess skin and even erected, it seems to be there.
Can you confirm if the healing is okay or is there anything wrong?
I’m wondering if I should make follow up appointment with doctor or what should I do? He doesn’t seem to be very helpful, my last appointment regarding stitches I was inside for probably 2 mins. Considering seeing someone else but what do you think how is it?

I think it looks pretty good to be honest. It seems to have healed well. Compared to some of the dodgy outcomes on here I think you are looking well. Are you erect in the last pic? It looks pretty smooth and I’m sure will do absolutely fine. I would leave it another month or so. I doubt the doctor can do much to change things anyway.
Joe, yours looks damn near exactly like mine's, and I have a slight excessive foreskin issue like you have on your leftside. Except my excessive skin is on both my left and right.
Firstly, you can perform with that thing any way you want to; there is nothing drastically wrong.
Secondly, you healed just fine, your body did exactly was it was supposed to.
Thirdly, I don't think your doctor considers that slight millimeters of extra skin to be worth a 2nd surgery??? Too much risk, and you'll have to restart a healing process all over again if so.
Now, I will be meeting with an urologist on Sept. 28th to discuss a possible revision cut for me.
If needed, he will split your inner skin open with a scalpel on the left side, cut out a rhin strip of tissue, then resew the two loose sides so they fuse together. Hopefully, that side can be evened out with the right side.
Do you think a second surgery will be the only way to eliminate that extra skin on the left side or will it pass over time? You mentioned you are getting another surgery is it since you have extra skin on both sides?
Yes, that is why I'm doing it. I seriously do not think that the excessive skin will shrink to size or tighten up. It either stays like if is or get reduced through revised surgery.
Its been 3 months!!! You're already healed, the surgeon just didn't measure properly how much to cut away, or leave. You really can leave it as it is; some doctors are scared that a revision may worsen the penis or its looks. Revisions are risky for additional imperfections and flaws..
I feel like it looks so bad on the left side because I showed pictures from top left, bottom left it’s even worse. I might try go back to different doctor and ask because the one I went to was a jerk. You mentioned you are getting it done, how did you go about it?
It looks completely normal I see where one-side is a lil more swollen than the other. Go to a different doctor and get a 2nd opinion. You have healed well, keep it dry and put antiseptic cream very light over the concerned area...where its swollen
I am so glad I found this post. You have the same type of circumcision as me and you have the same problem as me. I have some excessive inner foreskin on the right side and it creates these small bubbles when fully retracted. I spoke to an urologist and she told me that there was really nothing you could do. She also told me that a 2nd surgery could worsen things. She told me that she could prescribe some betamethasone to put on the excessive foreskin to see if it helps. She also said that maybe I should just try to accept my situation.
My advice: Don't get a second circumcision meaning don't remove more foreskin because there is a high chance it'll look the same as before.
Give it time and try to get some of that betamethasone.
When you are discharged from the hospital, you will be given advice about your recovery at home, including when you can drive, return to work, and have sex. It usually takes at least 10 days for your penis to heal after circumcision. You will probably be advised to take at least 1 week off work to recover.
U are more the. Great No need to anything extra it’s going to be better put some bio oil on and it will smooth it at the end this is operation and a wound will always heal this way
Don’t do more harm as it can go worse then better it’s not a game it’s an operation man
