On my 6th day post op now, my friend said he has about 16-17 stitches and others saying they had less, me and my girlfriend counted, I’ve got 40+ stitches and they aren’t small ones either.
Just curious how many everyone else had as it seems the surgeon has stitched so many into it

Well that really depends on how many the doctor put in as well as that might greatly different on the method used. Mind you only one week after op you wouldn't want any of your stitches to be out yet as it might be too soon. Generally stitches start falling out during the second week, post 10 days ... but some can start later at day 14 - 20. If you have stitches that dissolve then don't even worry about them as they will go away as a natural reaction of your body's enzymes.
What ever they done there’s too many in there haha, 10 days I’m hoping they start to dissolve, haven’t had a bath yet only showers and keeping it super dry
Stitches themselves aren't really an issue. Doc might have been thorough to make sure that even if some break you still have plenty of others that will keep it in check. Better to have more than too few ^^
I had around 16 but more is better as there’s less chance of popping a stitch and your scar will be straight so should have a nice line when it’s healed.
It’s all down to the surgeons preference some like glue some stitches and some dissolvable it’s the same with anaesthetic some prefer local on some general what the surgeon wants is what you get 😂
In the states, many surgeons are now offering options. There’s one in New York who offers circumcisions in which the entire foreskin is preseved except for the frenulum. The skin removed is taken from the shaft with closure made at the base where pubic hair hides it.
