Bleeding post circumcision

I'm 17 and currently at day 7 after circumcision. Untill today the healing process was going smoothly but today I woke up in the middle of the night because of an erection I waited until it stopped and went to bed again but when I woke up again a few hours later the top skin off my penis was bleeding I cleaned it with a little hot water and cotton. I'm worried because the bleeding is coming from the stitches but the stitches didn't come out. Is this fine or should I contact my doctor?

Bleeding is normal during erections. When my doctor had taken out the bandages wrapped around my penis, I had started getting erection 4 or 5 days after surgery and did not feel good. I had it about 2 or 3 times and I would get no sleep due to erection waking me up every 3-4 hours. If your doctor had already told you if you can take a shower, I recommend taking warm showers and let the water run through to keep it clean and pat it will cloth to keep it dry so it heals faster. When your getting ready to go to bed, sleep on your side whichever your comfortable with to keep your penis from having erection.
