Hypersensitivity after circumcision help

I recently got circumcised. Im on day 15 and my hypersensitivy is crazy. Im not in any pain anymore, swelling has gone down and I dont have much scabby dried blood left thank god.

I can walk much better and there is almost no pain, except when one stitch thats in an awkward place pokes me a bit but thats rare now.

My problem is my head is sensitive. Like really sensitive. Im 31 and my phimosis was extreme. Like mt foreskin was tight that my head had never been exposed before. So the hypersensitivity is something I am struggling with.

Anyone else had a similar situation? Any tips on how to reduce the sensitivity because I really need to. I tried loose boxer shorts but could not do that.

Please, im worried and really need some advice/help.

I was in the same situation but found it was better to tough it out as much as possible so the glans gets used to being exposed. You could try wearing a sports protector inside a jockstrap if you're walking or active.

Hi,

It will reduce significantly at the 5- 6 week mark. We have all gone through it and around 6 weeks it starts to settle / normalise. Im now approaching my 3rd month and things are back to normal

Hang in there

Hi. Don't worry, this is normal - especially with Phimosis as your head has not seen the light of day before ;) I had Phimosis and the same - over sensitive head. This does go in time. I found restricting movement and wearing tight pants helped so it wasn't banging on clothes. Using Vaseline also helped. Be prepared that it can take a few months to completely settle.

This is normal for most of us. I found wearing tight pants helped. Movement meant pain, so try to keep things still.

Hey, how long did it take for the pain to go away? Did you have to take painkillers? I'm on day 5 and it pains quite badly in the wound area. Even my balls seem to hurt.

Im nearly 2 months in btw. Sensitivity will get better around 2 to 3 weeks when the skin dries out and gets harden. But after shower, then sensitivity is there a bit more. Rn there is still sensitivity. Not painful but just discomfort.

In week 2 now and the sensitivity has actually gone down significantly. Am able to take a mild shower, wear shorts around the house and walk at a normal pace- things I couldnt imagine doing in week 1. Still havent tried to wear trousers or anything yet, maybe next week!
