Is it thrush or something else?

I've had red rash kind of thing on my penis, just the glans, and assumed it was thrush. I've used the canestan cream and it does clear up but then it always comes back when I stop using it.

Is there something else that it could be? There's no sores or anything, just looks like a heat rash.

Sometimes you need to use the cream for 2 weeks even if it looks like its clear. Keep it clean and dry. Try using QV wash as it is soap and fragrance free.

I'd show that to your GP. I used to get bouts of trush after unprotected sex. The GP prescribed clotrimazole cream for me and oral pill for my wife. That cleared it. Over-the-counter meds did nothing long term.Don't be shy about showing it to your GP. It'll take a "glance" for them to know what's wrong. You might even be able to do it virtually or with a photo and over the phone at the moment. Your's won't be the first they've seen and they are professionals.
