Hi all, just thought I would write a post here to share a condition I've had for many years now, before I finally visit a doctor I would just like to get a better understanding or idea of what these may be. I know I should and will be seeing a doctor for proper diagnosis but I suffer from extreme health anxiety and need to know what I should be expecting here, so to speak. Im a 26yo male and have had these (Fordyce Spots?) Since I was about 15 but a few years ago I noticed I had what looks like the same spots on the very tip of my penis, right next to my Meatus/Frenulum, so just checking to see if it is possible to have Fordyce Spots there as well. Also, I know Fordyce Spots are harmless but is there any way to remove them? I'm fed up of having an unsightly penis, it's making my life a misery..

Only a proper examination by a doctor can tell exactly what the dots are.
They may be Fordyce spots or Pearly Penile Papules (PPP)
Both Fordyce spots and PPP are very common and totally harmless. They can be got rid of only with difficulty using a laser, but small scars can be left which may be even less cosmetically acceptable.
Yeah I have read about both but leaning more towards Fordyce spots based off what I have seen online, though both look very similar to me. I may try the laser treatment and if it leaves unsightly looking scars then I would consider getting circumcised.

I have not yet been seen to about my anxiety but it's really bad, actually last year I had horrific chest pains for three days before I went to see the doctor and I found out I'd had a Spontaneous Pneumothorax in my right lung, so if it wasn't for my family pressuring me to get it seen to, idk what may have happened :s So that is just an example of how bad it gets because I fear the worst all the time. Would be nice to live without the constant worry though so maybe I should do something about it.
