No question here, I just wanted to share my story. 24 years old. Phimosis all my life so penis tip never exposed. Got circumcised 6 weeks ago.

For the first week it was agony if my penis brushed against anything and occasional bleeding. The sensitivity was insane.

Stories about pain lasting for months were so intimidating.

However, after a week the pain dulled. After two weeks I could wear underwear again and pants with just mild discomfort.

Now, it's just mildly tender and I really mean mild and has been like this for the last three weeks.

So I just want to share that if you're recently circumcised and you're worried about the pain, because let's be honest, most doctor's underplay it and say to expect mild discomfort and recommend Panadol. That's bullshit. For the first week get strong pain killers, anti inflammatorys, antibiotics, make sure to do daily saline baths and just be kind to yourself.

The pain goes away much faster than you think considering how much it hurts at first.

It will be much milder if in the past you've been able to retract your foreskin because your bellend won't be hypersensitive like mine was so you'll be in much less pain and will heal quicker.

There are stitches that dissolve after about four weeks.

For me the surgeon gave me no warning of how severe your penis will look post surgery. There'll be blood, stiches, puss possibly etc...

It's intimidating but completely normal.

I visited my gp one week post surgery and was given reassurance and advice. I recommend this if you become worried.

Healing times vary of course and every story is different, but I had the worst case scenario for healing time and am now fine.

Tight underwear with your penis wrapped in baby wipes works great if you have to leave the house or work but I do recommend one week off work where you're basically naked haha. Your penis needs to dry to become less sensitive, it needs air and space.
