Sensitivity post adult circumcision. Help?

14 days post circumcision and some stitches are coming out. Penis head sensitivity is very sensitive, can’t wear pants or underwear without it hurting. I’ve been able to put on tight briefs for 30 mins at a time. When will I feel normal again? I have to go to work. Doc said 2 weeks and I should be able to work out but that seems like a pipe dream. I’ve been coupes up in my house wearing a very long shirt and no pants- starting to get depressed.

I’m in the same boat as you my friend. The Docs most definitely sold us a dream. Feel like I won’t ever be the same. I’m 4 weeks post op and still can’t tolerate underwear. Yesterday I left the house for first time with gauze and tape wrapped around head and a gauze covering pee hole. I was uncomfortable but it helped me do what I needed to do for a few hours.

So I’ve been researching these forums and there is a urination leaking “pad” you can get on amazon called “manhood” that you can use with vasoline that supposed to help suppress the sensitivity. That said, in reading I’ve also derived that doing anything to lessen the sensitivity will just prolong the issue. It’s only been 2 weeks- so I am praying I’m in that percentage of men that’s fully healed by 4 weeks. Fingers crossed.

Yes, I’ve heard of that. I decided to forgo using it as well. I’ve just been letting the glans dry out. It is working. I don’t use any ointment or Vaseline. My Doc said let it just dry out so it can keratinize faster. He said the cells will change to squamous cells on the head. However, being as though I can’t sit the head in underwear with out being extremely uncomfortable if anything touches the pee hole. I’m just using dry gauze and tape if I need to leave the house. I walk extra slow but I’m able to get around some

im past week 3 and sensitivity gone down a bit but mostly the back part of the glans and tip are the most sensitive. Still cant tolerate with it touching clothes or towels. Its probably different for everyone though, i hope you're lucky enough to recover quickly .

Little bit of rubbing alcohol helps dry it out easily

Does this help reduce sensitivity- how often did you apply?

Yep! Works like a charm. Soak a small section of cloth with 70% rubbing alcohol and simply dab, wipe, compress glans.

Thank you! I have isopropyl alcohol wipes- I assume that would work all the same? When you say “compress glands” what does that mean?

Yeah those should work great. By compress I just mean hold against your glans for 30 seconds or so

I’m wondering how this worked for you? I’m just at about 4.5 weeks since my procedure. I feel like I am doing well. I usually wrap a tissue around the head of my penis which allows me to live life to some degree, although uncomfortably. However, as I’m sure you can imagine I don’t wish to live like this much longer and anyway to speed up the healing process would be appreciated.

What you need to do is to restore your foreskin.

Why would I do that if I had the circumcision done 2 weeks ago? The whole point was to remove it.

The idiom “be careful what you wish for” is often used as a type of warning to people who are wishing for one thing, but might not realize all the negative consequences that could accompany obtaining that wish, and one negative result might only be the first of many.

This was not an elective procedure.

Healing time is different for all of us. I think the key is keeping it still and avoiding erections as much as possible. When you feel comfortable try running a shower spray onto the head, increasing time and pressure. This will help you become accustomed to touch.I did not want to completely dry out so daily use cocoa butter.

Good luck

I was under the impression that drying it out helped lose the hypersensitivity?
