My GP put me on Citalapram but then rang and said not to take them as they interact with other drugs I'm on, instead she gave me Fluoxetine but the instructions say not to take with Tramadaol or NSAiDs. i am on Plaquenil, Tramadol, Naproxen and Levothyroxine (tyroid).so ave ot started them t really do need an anti depressant, is anyone else on any of these and an antidepressant and if so which one?

thanks

Hello

I dont have Lupus but Systemic Scleroderma and other auto-immune diseases.

I take Flouxetine also with Tramadol, levothyroxine,Plaquenil and other medication - dont seem to have any side effects.... Most of the medication I take seem to have interactions but if you are not sure check with your GP or pharmacists.

I too take Fluoxetine along with Tramadol, Plaquenil, Warfarin, Prednisolone, Azathioprine, Amitryptilline, and Buprenorphine patches. I have done so for the last couple of years, so you should be ok.

Hi,

I am on all the above and take citalapram, only a low dose to keep me on an even keel. But I haven't noticed any terrible interactions. It is best to take them and stop if need be, but the odds are you will be okay.

Good luck.

hi im on citalipram have been for years. Only the other day after months of taking diclofenac as well as citalipram my GP's receptionist called me and said the doctors would not give me a repeat as they can cause internal bleeding when mixing the both. So I went to see the dr and the dr said it was ok to have them as there is a small chance of this happening. But they will keep an eye on me and the benefits of taking the diclofenac out weighs the negatives. However for your doctor to do this he has his reasons. Maybe you could go and have another chat with your GP.

I'm on Plaquenil and had no side effects with Citalopram or Duloxetine or Fluoxetine. Fluoxetine seems to work best for me. Good luck.
