Steroid injection and Covid vaccine

Hi , important info for anyone who has had a Intra muscular steroid injection and is booked for covid vaccine soon.

I finally received a intramuscular injection of steroids on Wednesday night . I was booked in for vaccine next Monday. I rang my specialist nurse to check and my “alarm bells ringing “were right. You should not have the two close together, it reduces the efficacy of the vaccine. So I have delayed it. Give it 2 weeks she said.

On a funnier note quite fortuitous that i can’t go as I can barely make it out of my pjs at the moment ,due to this exhausting flare. .A least I can sit and look at my beautiful daffodils 😊
