Can we ask for steroid injection?

My steroid tablets didn't work and made me feel terrible.

Steroid injections work wonders for me.

Can I just ask for one?

I've tried to see my consultant as an emergency, but can't see him till the end of November!

Why can't we get injections off our G. P?

Hi Louise,

When I had this dilemma I saw the GP who telephoned through to the rheumy. The rheumy agreed that I could have this after GP's description of how I was. They then sent the steroid 'stuff' through from the hospital and I had the injection at the GP practice later on in the day. I don;t know if you can ask for this? x

I rang my GP and he said to go straight to the surgery! He said not to suffer in silence.

I could have kissed him!

My G. P is amazing. I owe him so much. He always fights my corner.

i have the injections but what are the side effects please

I don't know. I'm just happy that I've had one!
