I'm Vaxxed!

Had to take matters into my own hands and contact the vaccination centre directly after my GP surgery denied all knowledge - but Yay, I am vaxxed! Such a massive relief to be starting on the road to what I hope will be more like normality.

Info for the curious or doubtful: I'm 61, have SLE and lupus nephritis and take mycophenolate and hydroxychloroquine. I had the Pfizer vaccine, which was painless. Came home and slept all afternoon - which might have been a side effect but more likely just my body relaxing after weeks of tense waiting. I'll post again if there are any other ill effects. Thanks to everyone else who has shared their vaccination experience here, and good luck to all of you who have yet to be jabbed.

Yay! I’ve had mine today too and certainly felt like an emotional day for me!I’m not sure if it was just because I haven’t been out for weeks but I was so touched by all the incredible volunteers pulling together to make this happen! I know everyone has their views on how the pandemic has been handled but that made me proud!

Hopefully no side effects for either of us and hope all get their turn soon and are safe and well!

came looking to see if anyone mentioned have Pfizer vaccination and taking hydroxychloroquine, wanted to make sure it was straightforward to have the Pfizer booster - though won't be until January... My Ma went for her and couldn't have it as allergic to one ingredient

Everything has been straightforward. I think the Pfizer is a good vaccine (not a doctor, but.).
