Story so far———here on the forum we are told we should have the 3rd primary jab if we have been on Prednisolone for 4 weeks or more at 10mg. That’s me! Phone the GP surgery as advised. The very knowledgeable and all knowing receptionist says there is no such thing - repeatedly. Ending with “well I’ve never heard of it!” Long story short she tells me, after I suggest she speaks to a doctor, I meant the “supplementary dose” then “nothing to do with us!” I phone the mass vaccination centre as advised and told I am not on the list but gps and rheumatologists are very slow. So I phone the specialist rheumatology nurse after a friend gave me the right number to get through direct. Left message. Last time I did this was about 14 weeks ago and I’m still awaiting the reply. Then two days later the nurse rings me. I explain past events and end up in tears. She was marvellous! She said I needed to see the rheumatologist so he could give me all the results of tests that I have never been given and says she will contact the mass vaccination centre. Delighted. Then later that day she phones back saying that she is like a dog with a bone. She’s chased up the vaccination centre and they are writing to me to arrange my 3rd primary dose and I will be getting an appointment letter in the post to see the rheumatologist. Now what could go wrong? I pray the lovely Janine’s efforts do not get sabotaged later down the line. Who wants to take bets I will be booked in for the booster and then told it hasn’t been the full 6months since the 2nd jab? X

I’m not sure about this but I still think you have to wait 6 months after your second jab for a 3rd primary. I was contacted immediately I reached the 6 months and booked in. My card states 3rd primary. My other half although given the 2nd on the same day as me was not contacted until a week or so later as he gets it on age and his card says booster. So I think you may still have to wait.
My 6 months is up in November anyway so it’s not too long. It’s just frustrating that I get told there’s no such thing, and I think others have had the same experience.
I have had the exact same thing as you sadly. My Go practice also said there’s no such thing as a 3rd vaccine, until I gave them my NHS letter stating it is. They still couldn’t help and neither did my specialist team, so now don’t know where to turn!
Why dont you wave this information under their nose as its in black and white so they cant deny it!

This is wild that you all are told you need a third full vaccine over there across the pond. Here in the US there is no such thing, only the booster fir vulnerable patients. Good luck & I hope you all get what you need ASAP!!
I’ll go twenty to one with a tenner 🐎🤣
