This week I completed my first week back in the classroom and it felt good. Yes I was in bed my 8pm most nights but I could feel my old self returning. I left the profession after years of struggling with my health and thinking it was the job only to find out it wasn't. Six months into treatment I feel so much better, not as I was, but positive I can do this. I had to have an OH interview and I anxious about this but I was so pleased and surprised by their knowledge and support it has given me even more confidence. Thank you to all the support on here. Its only been a week so early days and I know I'm just at the beginning of this journey but hopefully I've made a positive step. Hope this helps someone who is feeling a little lost, like I was xxx

Well done! Teaching is incredibly exhausting, even if you’re well. I hope this works out: it must feel great to be back to it x

I am so happy for you! I have been off work for the past 18 months too and would dearly love to go back. I’m just not well enough yet, unfortunately. I hope everything goes well for you...remember to go take things slowly and look after yourself. Lots of hugs xxxx

This is the best post I have read to date! Congrats on a positive return to work! I find I feel better when I get back to life as normal rather than taking it too easy after illness. I hope you enjoy continued good health!

Well done, remember to take your vitamins so you don’t catch every bug going. Look into Access for Work as well as it can help your employer support you.
