Hi eveyone, well its been a while. Thoracic surgeon pleased with my recent chest x-ray and lung function test - hurray! but, that's about the only good thing.
Not been feeling great since Rheumatologist took me off mycophenolate mofetil. My wrists, hands, fingers and thumbs are in so much agonising pain. As also are my neck shoulers and hips. My kness keep me awake nightly with constant pain which seems to travel down my shins and it is so difficult to get comfortable for a few minutes sleep. Today the top of my feet are hurting and I am at my wits end.
I've recently seen a gynaecologist as I was diagnosed with prolapsed uterus during hospital stay in May. She has said that this is more likely to be the reason for my recurrent uti's and not mycophenolate and she will help me with my overactive bladder. I am not the functional when it comes to my bowels for which I take Docusate sodium 200mg twice daily and she gave me a prescription for pesseries (the which I have not needed) and movicol to be taken twice daily. I've had to stop all because I am constantly pooing. Causing my bum area to become sore and bleed. I am unable to go anywhere because of the urgent need to use the toilet even though I have not taken any laxatives for 2 weeks now. Could the prolapse which feels worse be having an effect on my bowel movement? Can anyone suggest help.
Phew it's taken me ages to write this and thankfully with the use of predicted text, but now my right hand is so much pain.

I really have no idea, but a great deal of sympathy.
I have bladder urgency. We've only tried one med to far but that gave me increased reflux , in spite of 4 omeprazole a day and an extra dry mouth ( the tumbleweed kind) . I'd rather have accidents than that.
Hi Lupiknits, I've had bladder urgency for years now, I'm currently taking MIRABEGRON MR 50mg tablet (no probs with it). Never a day without panty liner though. I suffer with GERD and take RABEPRAZOLE 20mg twice daily as well as DOMPERIDONE 10mg three times daily. Thankyou for your reply.
I’ve had bowel (constipation) issues for as long as I can remember. I was previously put on similar meds and I couldn’t handle them and the amount I needed to go either. It made things so much worse!
It was a very long time ago though so I can’t remember how long it took to reset my body, but I have learnt how to keep the constipation at bay and what foods help and which ones don’t.
I highly recommend keeping a diary and knowing what foods help and hinder. And then get yourself into a poo routine! It sounds funny to write it down but it help with pain and bloating and if I miss a routine poo I end up constipated for days! 🙈
I’m also curious about the womb prolapse. What made you suspect that?
I’m currently undiagnosed with 2 positive ANA’s and a list of symptoms. All triggered after I gave birth and had placenta problems. Areas of my body not checked yet are bowels. Stomach and reproductive area. Despite having flare ups every menstrual cycle and constant pain on my left ovary side amongst others.
Hi abt84, a diary good idea thanks for that. I was diagnosed with prolapsed uterus during hospital stay in May. Gynae dr. says going to operate. I had complete hysterectomy a long while ago now. Malar rash has been bad all week and been feeling really sick so I'm wondering if its just the lupus flaring causing my bowel problems, started getting twinges of pain in stomach since last night too. Oh I just feel a wreck right now. Thank you for your advise.
Hi there, I had a prolapse uterus and prolapse bowel. I think it's quite common to have both. I had an op to repair them about three years ago and although seems drastic it was easy and I was hardly in any pain afterwards. Most people seem to be helped by this op. You may have a prolapse back and front causing you problems??
Hi Kat-Kin, gynae says operation needs to speak with aneathnetist as I'm allergic to lignocaine. Not had problem with other aneathesia for previous ops though so should be ok. Really cannot wait to get back to feeling normal again or as normal as possible lol. Thank you for your reply.
