24 hour protein urine test

Hello everybody!

I've just received my 24 hour urine test, and the result for protein is 3825. My rheumatologist prescribe the test because for two consecutive month my protein in urine was positive ++. Should I be worried because the range is <150. Has anyone face the same problem? Do you think I'm having a kidney problem or something like that,I'm really afraid of dialysis. If someone can help. It's only next week that I'm going to see my doctor.

I'm afraid we are not medically trained here so I am not able to advise you about the result of your urine test. There are various possible causes of proteinuria and your doctor may want to request more tests.

Thank a lot for your reply, nut tomorrow I'm going on appointment so hope I'll be fixed on the result. For sure I'll download the booklet on lupus and kidney.
