If you have lupus then it's generally advised to have the flu vaccination which you can get free on the NHS. For much more information have a look at this Lupus UK page: lupusuk.org.uk/flu-vaccinat...

I had my jab done last week!

Barnclown posted a great article about this 9 days ago, have a look to see if you can find it. I have had my flu jab now, 3 years in a row, since diagnosis. I have SCLE - a form of lupus and osteoarthritis. I think lupies are recommended to have it but I'm sure your GP would be happy to discuss it with you. Best wishes.

Hi dawn mum, I have the same and have just had my flu jab this week. I've been feeling so much better for the last four months apart from a few flare ups but went to see doc about my skin problem and she said afterwards to have the flu jab, so I did she said it was my choice if I didn't want it. I hope this helps u , x

Hi Dawnmum

It depends what treatment your on as well as type of illness because you have to be immuno- compromised to qualify for the free flu jab. Hope that helps X

I have fibromyalgia, but also lupus, and I can't have the flu jab but i don't know if that's just my doctor's preference for me. If I were you, I would go into a pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if it is recommended or not. Hope you are feeling well!
