I was diagnosed with stage 4 NSC/squamous cell lung cancer in Aug 2016 and treated at Clatterbridge Wirral. I Had 6 cycles of chemotherapy of cisplatin + gemcitabine then 12 days of radiotherapy by end of 2016. Oct2017 started pembrolizumab. Last week told it’s not working. So back to Chemo of Gemcitabine + carboplatin for upto 6 cycles. Are there any other options?

Immunotherapy after 4 months has worked other more chemo any suggestions?
Hello.
The only other option that's been mentioned to me is clinical trials, a list of which can be found on the cancer research website: cancerresearchuk.org/about-...
I'm currently having chemo & thankfully it is working, but they are testing my tissue to see if I would be eligible for the matrix trial as backup plan.
Your hospital might not be running any themselves, but there might be others that are close to you.
I hope this helps
Thank you Parchwoody I go for round number 5 of my cisplatin & pemetrexed combo on Thursday, & then I'll go onto to maintenance of just pemetrexed. I know it will stop working at some point or my body will have had enough, so it's reassuring to know that there might be other options.
I hope you can find a trial that suits you
I read chemotherapy befour inmmutherpy WELL never works as chemo trashed everything immutherpy relies on.
If was me I would ask for blood transfusions then immutherpy.
