Carboplatin

Just had my second round of Carboplatin. Tolerable so far then I get vomiting. Not much to come up as not felt like eating. I’ve been very breathless and simple day to day tasks beyond me. Wondering if any similar experiences with Carboplatin. Trying not to read anything worrying in to it.

First infusion of Carboplation. Non-standard treatment in the UK but not much in the way of options now. Late afternoon and still feeling reasonable and long may that continue. Not feeling too bad of late anyway apart from a painful hip that has slowed me down. Easing a bit too.

Hi ladies I will be starting carboplatin/doxirubicin infusions in two weeks for recurrence. I am also going to be getting Keytruda. I would like to hear some of your experiences with this combo as.well as side effects. I am wondering if I will lose my hair again like I did with Taxol.

Hi, I was on Carboplatin, Avastin and Zem, but I got an allergic reaction from Carboplatin. My oncologist told me he will replace Carboplatin with Cisplarin for my 5 session. I am wondering if someone has been on Cisplatin and what’s yours experience with Cisplatin?

LupromPlus Abi and completed 10x docetaxel just but PSA 300 .moving to carboplatin. Doesn't do forums so iI saodsaid i'dI'd look into anything to ask about and this ones available locally?

Had 6 rounds of Carboplatin/Paclitaxel from April to August 24 and started Naraparib at the beginning of Sept 24. Looking forward to sharing stories and getting to know you all xx

Starting carboplatin and pemetrexate next week. Any advice for handling the chemotherapy, side effects etc? She is in the UK. Thank you for any help you can give.

I was put on Carboplatin and Pacataxol and had my De Bulking operation on the 22nd July 2018 I was then NED for 2 years but as it came back Dec 2020 in some pelvic lymph nodes and was tiny was just monitored.

In our last meeting, my oncologist discussed adding chemo with Carboplatin and pemetrexed to (possibly) extend the effectiveness of the Tagrisso. Apparently, this is based on some clinical trials that are showing extended effectiveness.

I started carboplatin chemo last week after failed docetaxel and carparvotaxel treatments. Olaparib has been mentioned as a possible treatment.

I’ve been on carboplatin and paclitexal for 3 cycles, using the scalp cooling. My hair is much thinner but still there. I’m concerned about not using the scalp cooling and the rest of it going. Thank you

Waiting on carboplatin from next month. Now I find I get excruciating jaw pain intermittently and just today, a painful hip when walking. I’m falling apart. The hip does have mets but unsure about the jaw. I’m guessing that more will follow. Feeling a bit sorry for myself I guess.

I underwent surgery had chemo paclitaxel and carboplatin. I commenced on olaparib for two years and my cancer had spread . I then underwent another six cycles of chemo carboplatin and calyx with a partial response.

Just wondering if anyone has had the combination of carboplatin and Caelyx for recurrence? I had review following scan this week and was told some recurrence in lymph nodes, pelvis and axillary.

hiya everyone I’m starting my 1st chemo tomorrow having carboplatin Paclitaxel and bevacizumab feeling very nervous. I had surgery and was told I had 3b MLA of the ovary can anyone give me advice what is is best to take with me and thing o help after chem thanks.

I started Jevtana and carboplatin about 9 weeks ago. I have what is described as" PSA surge". When I started my psa was 4.4 now 8.3. Has anyone else experienced this? What if any thing was done?. My Mo says stay the course, scans to be repeated in July. Thanks for all your help

In AT if the level of CA125 has decreased, the carboplatin dose will be reduced at the next treatment cycle; and if the level of CA125 has increased, then the carboplatin dose will be increased at the next treatment cycle.

If I interrupt the Ola and Avastin therapy and the cancer returns, would I need to go through carboplatin again or can I pick up where I left off? Thanks for any opinions you have on this.
