Carboplatin

Advise please had in last 2years carboplatin and paxo two lots 6 sessions 3 lots surgery stoma hysterectomy any advice on just carboplatin 2 hour sessions as its now spread to nodules hair just started to grow back slowly wondering if side effects will be as severe with 2 hours instead

Paclitaxel and Carboplatin proved too much for me and I ended up in hospital. Just on Carboplatin now and have my 5th chemo on Monday. My tumour markers have come down. Is this good news? Manetta

Just had my second round of Carboplatin. Tolerable so far then I get vomiting. Not much to come up as not felt like eating. I’ve been very breathless and simple day to day tasks beyond me. Wondering if any similar experiences with Carboplatin. Trying not to read anything worrying in to it.

unfortunately my dads PSA is still increasing even after receiving docetaxel + Carboplatin. He completed DCT in December and Chemotherapy started in December 2024. He got 4 infusions of carboplatin and Docetaxel but PSA is rising again. Nothing seeems to be working for my old man.

It consists on monthly injections of testosterone & carboplatin.

She had caeboplatin 4 cycles, then olaparib for 2 years, then debulking surgery in August this year and 6 doses of Carboplatin. However, recent scan showed it has progressed and deemed carboplatin resistant. Oncologist has suggested Liposomal Doxorubicin.

I originally had Paclitaxol/ Carboplatin followed by two years on Olaparib. I’m extremely anxious as after my third session I seem to have become allergic to Carboplatin followed by. My Oncologist is going to try me on Cisplatin for the last two cycles.

First infusion of Carboplation. Non-standard treatment in the UK but not much in the way of options now. Late afternoon and still feeling reasonable and long may that continue. Not feeling too bad of late anyway apart from a painful hip that has slowed me down. Easing a bit too.

Have been spoken to about clinical trial. letrozole with or without paclitaxel and carboplatin. Anyone have knowledge on this type of treatment, either arm please..

What then is the best treatment Chemotherapy ie Carboplatin or trial with immunotherapy? What folks experiencing?

In a patient who has taken carboplatin and it has not worked at all, does it make sense to try olaparib (lymparza) or is it better not to because if the platinum-based chemotherapy has failed, the parp inhibitor will surely fail too?

I was then given Paclitaxol and Carboplatin again. I was fine with the Paclitaxol but had an allergic reaction to Carboplatin. I had the first three but even with the help of lots of steroids, only managed 25% in session 4 and 60% in session 5, for session 6, Paclitaxol only.

Am getting my first treatment of cabizataxel/carboplatin/nivolumab/ipilimumab this coming Tuesday as part of the Duke CHAMP trial: https://www.dukehealth.org/clinical-trials/directory/pro00106278 Does anyone have recommendations/experiences on how to best reduce side effects?

Mum did not respond to carboplatin or caelyx ( liposomal Doxorubicin). Any one with success stories of Taxol? What are the side effects? Many Thanks Losh

Hi ladies I will be starting carboplatin/doxirubicin infusions in two weeks for recurrence. I am also going to be getting Keytruda. I would like to hear some of your experiences with this combo as.well as side effects. I am wondering if I will lose my hair again like I did with Taxol.

Can anyone please share what side effects did they have, having these two drugs (Carboplatin and liposomal doxorubicin). Many thanks x

anyone had experience of paying for private treatment with any of the immunotherapy drugs either in UK or in US and where you had treatment and how much approximately it cost if you are happy to share I would love to try immunotherapy for recurrent clear cell cancer of ovary and just had progression on Carboplatin

LupromPlus Abi and completed 10x docetaxel just but PSA 300 .moving to carboplatin. Doesn't do forums so iI saodsaid i'dI'd look into anything to ask about and this ones available locally?
