Lung cancer

I was diagnosed a lung adenocarcinoma, a RET positive fusion mutation in Januarya2024.Am told its a rare cancer. I would like to chat with anyone else here who may have this type of cancer and is being treated with Selpercatinib pills.

I have been diagnosed with Squamous cell lung cancer, I met with the respiratory doctor, who is booking me in for a pneumonectomy, has anyone had this procedure and can offer any advise

He eventually came home after 13 days, stayed with me for 4 days and then ended up back in hospital because of breathlessness and they found he had a blood clot in his lung, another infection and now mucus. It definitely is lung cancer but it's already spreading so stage 4.

It's been 14 years since I required infusion and now I've been diagnosed with a new lung cancer. I feel well prepared for this by the suggestions you've shared over the years. It's KRAS G12F and I'm doing carboplatin, Alimta , and Keytruda.

I have incurable lung cancer and currently undergoing immunotherapy treatment. Am due a ct staging scan on Monday and see the consultant in about 3 weeks. If the consultant says they are stopping the immunotherapy, what alternative treatments could be offered?

The primary cancer has been eradicated, however 3 enlarged lymph nodes have now been found on the scan. This could be due to a cheat infection or it could be cancer. The scan is now being reviewed by a panel of experts. Anyone have any advice on this?

I have stage 3 lung cancer, I have no symptoms and have no issues. I have 100% lung capacity. I have had 3 infusions of immunotherapy and chemotherapy. The tumour has shrunk 60/70% I have a choice. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy for 30 days. Removal of left lung. Both have risks.

Can someone please share with me their experience after going thru radiotherapy for lung cancer? My dad had a radiotherapy for his lung cancer in Oct 2023. The radiotherapy went well with him not going thru any adverse side effects.

A lobectomy was planned during surgery, removal of lower right lung lobe, but the surgeon stopped mid-surgery when he received the pathology. Thanks be to God, neither was lung cancer and, in fact, both were metastatic prostate cancer.

My oncologist spotted a 2.6 cm spot on my right lung at last exam, will see a thoracic surgeon at Duke this week. My stage 4 PCa being treated with Lupron and Xtandi. No pain or symptoms with lungs, swim 3x per week.Your thoughts appreciated for any similar experience.

Just curious - have had cancer 6 times now, breast cancer x 3; bowel; lung; 5 times all operated on & fine, now this 6th time caused by the radiotherapy I had 25 years ago for my breast cancer caused my squamous lung cancer, not operable + of course no radiotherapy as I've had the max - was only discovered
