pleural effusion
I was having 3 weekly cycles of Gemcitabine plus
Cisplatin
. I missed the 3rd cycle because of the pleural effusion . I will re start next week and hope that it will reduce my Ca125 . I hope all that made sense . I’m in the UK , so Elahere isn’t an option as a next treatment yet .

Breathlessness
So I am having etoposide and paclitaxel then
cisplatin
and paclitaxel two weeks later. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a tight chest and breathlessness when having any of the above. Also I have developed a rash under both breasts which is quite uncomfortable.

Stage 4 lung cancer - treatment
His treatment plan was to have
Cisplatin
and Pemetrexed (chemotherapy) and Pembrolizumab (Immunotherapy). He tolerated a number of cycles but then got a couple of infections at once and was very poorly.

Good news from the ATTLAS trial for patients with EGFR mutations and ALK translocations.
Treatment with atezolizumab, bevacizumab, paclitaxel, and carboplatin (ABCP) was significantly more effective than pemetrexed plus carboplatin or
cisplatin

looking for positive stories….
My chemo ( 3rd line carbo then
cisplatin
and Gemcitabine) has been stopped after 3 treatments due to toxicity. I was really unwell on it . Ct shows tumour reduction in all abdo/ pelvic areas. Ca 125 has come down from over 1000 to 420. So not disease free and not NED.

Looking for suggestions
We have done two rounds of
cisplatin
+ etoposide. But my father is unable to walk or do his basics and it feels like it's getting tougher for him. His potassium and albumin levels are also pretty low. Is there anything we can do to help with this situation ?

Is it possible to get back to Platinum based chemo?
I want to ask if anyone has experience with returning to platinum-based drugs (
Cisplatin
, Carboplatin) after being declared platinum-resistant. I hope this is possible because she lived 6 months without platinum while she was on Doxorubicin. Thank you.

Prostate Cancer (stage IV) identified in January and Small Cell Carcinoma (Neuro endocrine) in liver in August. Any suggestions?
First round was completed two days back. where etoposide and
cisplatin
were administered. I don't have much idea about cancer and its treatment and things have been moving fast - Prostate Cancer and now Small Cell Carcinoma in six months. We live in India (Delhi).
