I thought I would do an update.

Right there's good news and bad news, the bad news is that my golf swing is all over the place and I'm slicing balls everywhere!!!!!

The good news is that I have not had too many problems with the first round of chemo, yes a little bit of all the usual side effects I.e fatigue, metal tasting food and drink, rashes and just yesterday the little hair I have started disappearing down the plug hole. I was due to start my second round of chemo today but I got a phone call at 9.00 am to say my white cell count was low and I had to go straight into the hospital for another blood test. Fortunately my count had doubled and we went ahead with the treatment. So I hope I haven't jinxed myself with the saying I've had few real problems.

Also with regard to my previous post about time limits Management (the missus) and a site member have decreed that no further mention of this shall be made, I have checked the soles of my feet and found no expiry date so they (being female ) are of course correct.

So let's all see what the future brings and best wishes to all aboard on this journey.

Regards Rab

Sounds good Rab! As for the golf.... I couldn't play before chemo either! Stay strong. Julie

Dear Rabbie,

Thank you for posting. You are a tonic to all on this forum and I hope you find it useful too. Glad to hear you're coping ok with chemo; too bad about your golf swing, hopefully it is also only a temporary side effect.

Best wishes,

Beth, on behalf of information and support.

I am glad you have some good news to have told us.I will not try and give you any advice on your golf swing,I would want a 10 shot start from you if we played 9 holes.
