Hi everyone, hope you are keeping well, just thought I would give an update on my chemo journey, completed one round with not too many side effects the ones I had I could cope with apart from my left leg keeps going numb, well today I should have started my second round after having 2 weeks rest, I arrived about 9.30, and they did another blood test although I had one the day before, results came back and my white blood count was low, so they said they couldn't give me chemo today, so I have to go back next Friday, have another blood test the day before and if all is ok I can have chemo if not they are giving me an injection to bring white count up, I was a bit fed up as you do build up to the day.
you all take care

Hi Margaret, lovely to hear from you, sounds like youre coping quite well with your treatment you've had so much to cope with ! how are you after your surgery ?
Hi Julie, nice to hear from you too, how are you? I am doing ok after surgery still get occasional pain and still got numbness feel more tired and not a lot of energy these days , its this chemo I want to get over, forgot to mention that they are changing one of the drugs Cisplatin for Carbapltin think that's how its spelt, think its because of the numbness I am getting in my leg, I will keep in touch,
Thanks for the update Margaret. It is quite common for blood count to be low and has probably happened to quite a few of us during treatment also glad to hear that side effects are manageable so far. Good luck for next Friday and sending positive thoughts and hugs for your remaining treatment. Moni x
My reply to you thanking you for your good wishes seems to have vanished,
Well I had my second round of chemo on Friday my white blood cells were just border line, they have changed me from Cisplantin and vinorelbine to Carboplantin and vinorelbine and today I feel much better no sickness dont feel as tired up early today and drove the 40 mile round trip to see grand children, next week they are giving me an injection to boost my immune system the day after the chemo, if I feel this good next week it will be great but who knows we just take one day at a time don't we,
