Hi lots of people are on iron supplements, myself included (although I am not on Warfarin), however as with any other supplements, or new medication you must check with who has prescribed your Warfarin. I know many on here do take both, but still check it out. MaryF

Yes. I am on warfarin, statins, iron and much else. I take the iron in liquid form as pill form caused too much stomach upset. Even so i am struggling to get the dose right and may have to think about injections or transfusions. I was down to 13 when 30 is the minumum desirable level I'm told. Now 44.

I did find a study that suggested those of us that have Hughes may well have a predisposition for low ferattin levels and now I think about it I have been frequently diagnosed with same over the decades.

I was surprised to learn how important the right iron levels can be, and how dangerous too much of the supplement can be.

That's interesting. I have always got low ferratin but told it's nothing to worry about as iron itself is OK. I do worry as I have issues with excessive and prolonged bleeding during menstration. I'm often fatigued but told this was due to other things
