Hi, that's a question you need to ask your medical team?

For me, any flight over 4 hrs I have been given a plan for extra anticoagulation, from my specialist.

Hi I was diagnosed 22 yrs ago and suffered 15 miscarriages nobody has mentioned anything else since except I need to take precautions when flying. Hospital took blood clotting screen before a operation I had and it came back normal ..my doctor spoke to hematology and they advised keep hydrated. Move around.excersies.and Aspirin my doctor doesn't know much about it and I never have regular tests done..

Hi Stockham,

I have messaged you. You are free to contact me if you like. I live in Sweden.

You need to ask your medical team this one, but apart from that I would suggest that you wear flight socks + there are exercises that you can do either while sat down or when you move about the aircraft.

I am on warfarin, but still wear flight socks and will be wearing them on my next flight later this month to Dubai.

Make certain that you get an aisle seat, and, get up every now and again and do a few laps of the plane. Don't get stuck in a middle seat, as I did some years ago. That's what caused my stroke, way back in late 2011. I have been overseas a few times since the stroke , and, haven't had any problems. Just best to take precautions.

And a way to make sure you get an aisle sheet is to carry with you a signed note from your doctor advising the flight team of your need for room to stretch your legs.
