That looks interesting 😋 I’ve had the Nudies snacks cauliflower crisps with the cheese flavour, I buy those fairly often. They’re vegan and gluten-free. I hadn’t seen the lentil snacks before though. Good to know they’re out there, thank you 😊

Looks like they're roasted lentils with salt and pepper so should be easy (and cheaper) to make at home

Yes very good idea

They do a number of different snacks these days and if you order directly from them you get a code in the box with a discount on 😁

I didn’t know you can order directly from Nudies. I’ll check it out. Thank you 😊

I always buy direct now, and with every order you get a discount code, and free delivery over £20.00 - I tend to bulk buy (as I am a bit of an animal) 😁

These look especially good Foggy123. I crave salty snacks more often than I like to admit. On the plus side I am not a "sweets" person. It used to be the other way around. Not sure too much of either is great but I will not give up my salty and crunchy treats.

Yes I have to admit I prefer salty food but my mum cut down her salt intake and got my nonverbal son to eat less salty food. I guess it’s good

I really really like roasted and salted pumpkin seeds.

After scooping out the seeds from a pumpkin they’re going to be a bit messy. To clean them, throw them into a bowl of cold water. Swish the seeds around a bit then as they float to the top, take them out.

They’re mostly clean at this point, which is fine because they have one more chance to clean up. Add the mostly clean seeds to a pot of boiling salted water. Then simmer for about 5 minutes. This cleans the seeds and seasons them — like how adding salt to the boiling water seasons pasta.

Drain and rinse the seeds. Pull away any extra bits of pumpkin left then dry them as well as you can. The more dry the seeds are, the better they will roast.

Toss the dry seeds with some oil — use olive oil, coconut oil or a nut oil like walnut. Spread the seeds into one layer and roast until crisp and browned around the edges.

Have to try now since you gave very good account how to treat

This is such a simple recipe, my favorite kind, lol. May I ask about your dear son, you say he is non-verbal. I feel that this recipe would be fun for him to help you with. Our grandkids look forward to helping with the roasted pumpkin seeds every Halloween, or at least they used to when they were much younger.

Yes I feel this will help and now you said will try on him. Son is on autism spectrum and is nonverbal can’t talk but he understands a lot. He is doing gardening cooking dance therapy and yoga at college

So he is not a young boy anymore, although he may still enjoy helping like you say. You must be very proud of his achievements. He has quite the busy college schedule going on.
