I'm not a vegan but as it's Veganuary tonight I thought I'd make some easy lentil burgers and keep them plant based and as always gluten free.
I used a tin of organic black beluga lentils diced organic onions gram flour (chickpea flour) 1 tea spoon of egg replacer a little water herbs and spices whizzed it up in a food processor, then rolled into shape in more gram flour then cooked in hot olive oil.
I had them with quinoa red lentils with diced sweet peppers all cooked together. Plus some mixed salad grated beetroot and baby plum tomatoes.
We have a vegan Topic and for those of you who can't get enough of Veganuary then there's HU's Vegan group:
This looks great Jerry, a nice combination, I'm not vegan either. Did you dry toast the quinoa and red lentils first like Leah's brilliant tip to me in my millet post? Well it looks real good anyway, whatever you did.
Hey thanks Zube, I boiled the quinoa and lentils after washing.
Now I have bought toasted quinoa I think they were called picollaβs they are much crunchier than puffed corn but make a wholesome snack.

Hi Hidden I wash quinoa and lentils to ensure they are gluten free, when quinoa is unwashed the water is milky for about 2 mins so I know they are washed.
