Gluten free Black Beluga lentil burgers with new potatoes and cauliflower.

Hi everyone,

Here's what I made for dinner tonight, its lentil burgers with new potatoes and a cauliflower which are all locally grown.

I made the burgers by chopping an onion adding gram flour an egg a tin of black beluga lentils with celery salt coriander mixed spice and black pepper before blending it into a dough, then I put a dollop on a floured board and flattened into a disc and cooked in olive oil until they were golden on the outside.

Its a nice simple meal and I had a gravy with it but the photo was obscured by clouds of steam so here it to before I poured gravy all over it.

Enjoy the rest of your day folks. 😊

Hi Hidden

Those lentil burgers look great, and the locally grown veggies and new potatoes look like a delicious accompanyment. I imagine the gravy was delicious too, and went well with everything.

Thank you Zest you can’t beat local veg and my plastic waste has almost been wiped out nowadays. 😊

Hi I'll show mam that as she needs to get her lentils down her to stop inflammation which causes blocked veins, my friend made some nice chick pea fritters simar to them with a spice can't remember which one 😁

We have been sort of naughty tonight!! Enjoyed watching Buddy (Jamie Oliver's son) make pizzas. SR flour (could use GF) yogurt for the base. We had a walk around the garden and collected tomatoes, chillies, courgettes, spring onions , added peppers and mushrooms. This was all put into slow cooker and left all afternoon. We went for a foraging walk! Yes!! Found sloes 4lbs picked for winter gin. On the way back to the car we found a Victoria plum tree and picked 6lbs. A very profitable afternoon!!

We had intended to have the pizza for a starter and chicken, pasta and sauce but the pizza was so filling .... chicken and pasta for tomorrow!!
