Well with a poll on what will you eat over Easter, I thought I'd bake some GF Easter biscuits and rather than cut them to shape I tray baked them. I didn't have any currants so I chopped some sultanas up.
I used 125g GF plain flour 100g Buckwheat flour 110g golden granulated sugar butter 110g butter 80g chopped sultanas 1 egg a little milk I used goats milk some mixed spice and whizzed it up in my food processor.
I spread it in a baking tray brushed milk on top and baked for around 20 mins at 160C until the top was going golden.
I've just tried one with a cuppa and it went down a treat, so I hope you're enjoying this lovely weather and the bank holiday. π
Thank you Zest, there weren't any GF hot cross buns in my local shops so I thought I'd make some of these for an Easter treat, which's exactly what the weather is...a treat. π
They look delicious! Iβm going to make some for our Community Cafe this week as a GF alternative. Thanks for the recipe Jerry π
Thank you Tt, I've made them before so I'm sure that yours will turn out well and think its great you making them for a community cafe, so I'm impressed. π
