my favourite recipe. hummus is full of goodies; good fat, sodium potassium, no cholesterol:), fibre, carbs, iron, magnesium and vitamin B6. taste amazing and is so so easy to make. you can use it as a spread for the sandwiches, for dips or to enhance the taste of your soups and sauces.
you will need;
1 can of chickpeas, 1 red pepper, 2 tbs of tahini paste (i used sesame seeds works perfectly), 1 clove garlic, salt, pepper.
some type of blender, grill pan, and a storage container (jar, glass container-ideally)
prepare the pepper first; grill the pepper on medium heat for a while on both sides add some pepper and salt. once is ready, leave it to cool down.
in the meantime put all the ingredients from the list into the blender. add cold pepper. mix it. once is mixed thoroughly place in your container. enjoy it for the next week.
life shelf of the homemade hummus is about a week to 8 days.
