Well I have been busy today, first a chilli and now peanut butter.
The recipe is two cups of roasted peanuts and salt to taste. All you do is grind the peanuts in a food processor until it becomes a paste, add some salt to taste and blend a little longer to incorporate the salt. The recipe says to blend for 2 to 3 minutes once it has become a paste.
I used Pink Himalayan Salt in my peanut butter.
It turned out really lovely and is now stored in my fridge ready to enjoy.
Wow, Alicia, this is really impressive - making your own Peanut butter. I have just run out of my shop-bought peanut butter, so I am going to seriously consider making some - it looks nice and simple - and it looks great!
It's so easy to make but take a tip from me, buy ready shelled peanuts and not monkey nuts, you can imagine how long I was shelling nuts today - lol!! My husband did rescue me after lunch and shelled some as well.
If you buy the shelled nuts this would be incredibly quick to make.
This is brilliant Aicia, it looks so nice...and you know what's gone into it so its the real deal...you've a few spares too I see...😊

Thank you Jerry and it tastes lovely and it's only peanuts and a little Pink Himalayan salt - that's it, no Palm Oil or sugar or any other rubbish. Fancy a jar do you - ha ha

Ah thought you might be Jerry - ha ha
never thought it was that easy.. peanuts are cheap in thailand but peanut butter is imported and expensive...will be making it from now.😏

Honestly it was so easy and if the peanuts are cheap for you then it's a no brainer

Fantastic and you will know exactly what's in it
Alicia
Good making it with Olive Oil as well as it's then in it's raw cold pressed state.
I can't believe that Morrisons sell one with nothing but peanuts, that's unheard of. Do you think the food industry is finally listening - you can but hope!!
The food processor I have is the a Kenwood one (I have added the link below):
It is a good food processor but I will say one thing in that it can be difficult to slot the lid into the relevant part of the unit, other than that it's a nice little food processor and the reviews are good.
Alicia
So sorry for taking so long to reply to you, I have been getting a lot of emails and I missed your reply completely and have just found it.
I will definitely have a look at the peanut butter in Morrisons as that is an amazing price, most cost over £3! Manufacturers seem to like to challenge you with equipment.
Morrisons isn't my favourite shop but if they are starting to sell different things then that is really good.
