Fluoxetine

My doc did not think there was anything wrong with the "hairs in my ears" and urged me to get back on the fluoxetine. I did, throughout this time, still have periods of complete silence. The BP meds were doubled for a couple of days. The fluoxetine is kicking in, so I'm not bothered by it as much.

Please can some one recommend a good anxiety medication to take alongside my fluoxetine? I do also have blood pressure which is on the low side thanks so much. I would love to hear about what medications or even natural remedies have worked and haven’t worked for you

hi , I have tried a few different meds for my raynauds including fluoxetine most recently. I haven’t found anything that helps and so stopped taking due to certain side effects . Now the weather is getting cold my rheumatologist suggested trying sidenafil (viagra) .

Then went on fluoxetine in march 2024 and the dizziness came back. Was on those until June/July then stopped because I felt ok. The dizziness was on and off by then. When I came off the dizziness stopped for about 5/6 weeks then came back.

I'm 81 years old and started taking fluoxetine around 1995 and stopped taking it (I didn't think I needed it any more and if I did I'd just start taking it again) in April of 2022. I was prescribed fluoxetine because of a problem I had with anger.

When we tried both fluoxetine and Sertraline it seemed to make things worse with reckless behavior or suicidal comments. Has anyone had experience with other SSRIs or SNRIs working when fluoxetine and Sertraline did not? It’s so much trial and error and we just want to help him!

i really need some advice on how to calm down a, I already take fluoxetine and quetiapine and I’m spraying this rescue remedy spray constantly!

Just put on 5mg Buspirone twice daily and 20mg Fluoxetine for panic attacks and anxiety. Day two and very weird feelings. I can feel anxiety and my jaw is so clenched it hurts. Insomnia and a fear of sleep now? Anybody else have that experience and can share? Any tips to lessen side effects?

Have said to GP I want to wait until I know best one to take, and she is going to look into it, she mentioned fluoxetine or Loxitane? Anyone else with fibromyalgia with RLS how do you cope with it and what meds are you taking? Many thanks

I needed to go and see my doctor to discuss a number of things ,and it was decided to take me off my fluoxetine untill I've seen my FND hospital who will decided what medication is best for me ,also I have PTSD ,I'm still waiting for a talking therapy but I should be having a phone call end of this month

the last few weeks I’ve had the strangest sensations and I’m now starting to wonder if it’s anxiety related I have took 50mg quetiapine and 20mg fluoxetine for the last 15 years.

I had a journey on antidepresants currently I’m on fluoxetine nearly a month, I don’t think they have started working yet as I don’t seem to feel any difference. I was trying all sorts of exercise, meditation ( very difficult as I can not focus at all !

She got in touch with a therapist, came off of Fluoxetine and went onto Venlafaxine which has a horrid cocktail of side effects.

So the next month she gave me Fluoxetine 20mg- this was much worse , my migraines returned with a vengeance - I have Occipital nerve blocks for these and am usually pain free for two months out of three.

So in desperation I began taking fluoxetine (Prozac)again . This has made me very anxious and sick. I’m now wondering if the 2 interact or my breakdown is affecting the steroids needed?

I'm currently on 60mg Fluoxetine and, apart from feeling a bit numb at times, it's really not helping. I still cry a lot and feel massive despair.

The GP started him on fluoxetine but we didn’t think that was working and a consultant psychiatrist weaned him off , he was still suffering from anxiety and depression , so the GP initiated him on mirtazapine 15 mg, this dose didn’t do much so he’s on 30 mg now , he’s always sleeping and I think

and fluoxetine in the morning (30mg) which we added in July. The fluoxetine was immensely helpful in the beginning - he was so calm and happy! I was relieved and optimistic.

In the last few months the RLS has gotten really bad, I moved house and medical practice, my new gp took me off the amitriptyline, and advised me that my Fluoxetine can make it worse! Have started reducing that from 40mg now on 20mg per day.

Hey it's been a year since my admission for PP and I'm currently down to 2.5mg Olanzapine but 60mg fluoxetine due to depressive episode after my psychosis. I just wondered if anyone has drank alcohol since their psychotic episode and if you were still taking anti-psychotics?
