perfectly, i have the most terrible memory as well i can be having a conversation with someone and if it goes on for a while i can forget what the start of the conversation was about. I can sometimes forget what the word i am looking for is, i have left my bank card in a machine after i have used it on many occassions (thank goodness for nice shop assistants). If there are any family things planned it has to be written down in the very large diary i have in the house, if its not written down it wont happen.
It most certainly is! I rarely sign the first part of my name in the same way, as I forget how I do it; I mean to type/text one word, and my hand types something completely different; I have to set reminders on my phone/Outlook calendar to remind me to phone someone, or pass on a message ... the list goes on! This morning, despite knowing that my boyfriend was off work today, so didn't need a wake-up call (he has the uncanny ability to repeatedly snooze 2 alarms for over an hour, without waking up!), I still phoned him at 6.15am, because my sleep-addled brain forgot!
All perfectly normal; you just have to find your own ways of dealing with it so that you forget less things, over time. xx
Yup saw my friend today as she lives near my GP and started telling her something .. I can't remember now what it was but I remember forgetting what I was saying half way through ... It never came back so we started talking about something else... I have lists a large calendar and still forget to do things.... I proudly told my oh yesterday I had done the washing up only for him to find I had filled the sink with hot water and washing up liquid and that was it....
VG x
Yes I have even thought I am going mad as I do all those things but mainly its words with me, I say something and it is totally random does not even sound familiar! Like the other day I called my OH and said " Oh I can't move the Microwave its too awkward " He looked at me and said "eh" I was sosure I had the right word I said "look this is too close to me...amI speaking double dutch " and tapped it, he said " no babe but that is a table not a microwave" and we both laughed. I also lose what I am saying in conversations and completely forget.
I have even made an appointment to see the Dr about it as thought it was me going crazy! .x x
Gentle hugs to everyone x x <3
I once got a ticket because I forgot to put the badge in the window... not the first - or last - time I forgot the badge, but fortunately the only time I got a ticket (so far). The guy who issued the ticket recommended I went to the council office to appeal, which I did. Had to fill in a form and admitted I'd been distracted (just found out my old cat was terminally ill) and that I'd genuinely forgot to put the badge in the window, someone in the office said I shouldn't say I'd forgotten but it was the truth and anything else would have been wrong. I got a lovely letter back from the parking people, they cancelled the ticket and told me to try not to do it again in the next 12 months.
I don't know when you got your ticket, but if its recent, it might be worth appealing.
The other day I went to the library to print off some stuff for my medical assessment for ESA, which is on Monday (weather permitting). I did that, and a few hours later, I realised I had left my MEMORY stick in the library computer. It has personal details on it, so I was quite worried that someone had taken it. But it was still in there. Must have been a quiet day. I just hope I remember to take all the stuff I printed off when I go on Monday!!
My memory is patchy to say the least. I made a drug error at work. I'm forever forgetting what I'm saying mid sentence. My family and most ofmy work colleagues arefairly supportive, which I am really grateful for. It seems to be kne of the many horrible symptoms of fibro.
